Frequently asked questions

How are the airplanes made?

Designed by 6-year-old Nicholas, each plane is carefully constructed using a variety of crafts (popsicle sticks, bottle caps, clothespins, and cork). All pieces are secured via original Tacky Glue, which is cited as safe and nontoxic. Consider your plane a "trinket," and handle with love and care (gentle play recommended). It is not suitable for babies and has small, breakable parts which pose a choking hazard. Please delicately play and display responsibly. We take pride in keeping things sanitary and you can rest assured all planes are made with freshly clean hands. In addition, prior to packaging, we spray the plane with Lysol disinfectant.

What if it breaks during shipping transit?

Things happen. While we take pride in shipping all planes with bubble wrap, in the case that it breaks during transit, we will happily replace it, no questions asked. Just fill out our contact form and let us know you need a free replacement.

What if my plane breaks from loving it too much?

We're glad you love your plane, and we're sorry it broke! Consider your plane a trinket and delicate toy- it looks great on a shelf for display and is best when carefully played with. If a piece happens to fall off, simply re-glue (we prefer nontoxic Tacky Glue). However, if your plane can't be refurbished, we trust you and will happily issue a free replacement. Simply fill out our contact form and let us know what happened.

What is your return policy?

Why would you want to return your plane? Your plane was made with immense TLC, carefully constructed from young hands. However, if you aren't satisfied, contact us and we'll work out a refund.

How much of my purchase goes towards a good cause?

When Nicholas decided to start his own business, he was adamant about paying it forward and partnering with a foundation he resonates with. Having spent time in the NICU himself, Nicholas thought the idea of providing books to NICU families was absolutely wonderful, so it became a total fit for his plane project. He donates $1 of every plane sold to the foundation. The cost of the plane is already quite affordable (given material and shipping), so he's pretty much breaking even, able to add a few cents to his piggy bank from every sale.

How much is shipping, and when will I get my order?

FREE! Shipping is factored into the price of your plane. We only ship within the U.S. Planes are made to order, so kindly allow 10-14 business days to ship (generally sooner).

How much of each sale benefits the Triple Heart Foundation and what is the organization's mission?

The Triple Heart Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides books to parents embarking on the NICU journey. Babies in the neonatal intensive care unit are often in isolettes, away from their parents. Research has shown that reading to these babies not only helps brain development, but it also helps to create a special bond between the parents and their baby. Each book is given to a NICU family, allowing them to create a library of books and memories during their hospital stay. To learn more, visit our ABOUT section.

What's your "Kits for Kids" program?

Because Creations by Nicholas started amidst the Coronavirus, he's passionate about paying it forward. He is happy to send a free plane kit to any child whose family has been directly impacted by COVID. To clarify, he will send one free kit if the child's parents have/had COVID; if the child's siblings have/had COVID; or if the child is experiencing COVID-like symptoms of his own. In addition, if the child's parents dedicate their time as doctors to treating patients with COVID, Nicholas will happily send a kit their way! All you have to do is submit the CONTACT US form with subject line "Kits for Kids," and include your story and mailing address.
